It's been a long day of travel. I got up at 4:45 this morning to catch a shuttle bus to Logan Airport (Boston) so I could fly out to San Francisco where I'll be spending the next 6 days, mostly attending a Risk Management Conference. I've never been to San Francisco, so I'm excited to be here, although it was a long, long day. Tomorrow and Sunday, I'm going sight-seeing before having to settle down to the meetings, so I'll have many more pictures to post. For now, here's the sunset from my hotel window. Pretty, isn't it?

California Here I Come
It's been a long day of travel. I've never been to San Francisco, so I'm excited to be here, although it was a long, long day. I just got back from San Fran earlier this wk. Haven't even had time to blog it. Can't wait to read your posts.
A bunch of people from my office, including my boss, will be at that meeting. You'll have to say, "Howdy" to the Washington Conference bunch.
Are you doing "walking tours" or "trolley tours" of San Fran, or do you have a rental car? If so you have a rental car....Charles Schultz and Peanuts country is just up the road in Santa Rosa. They have a great museum there. It's about an hour north of the Golden Gate bridge. (And if you do head that far north, I know of some really nice people who would invite you over for supper!!)
Also, if you go across the GG bridge, away from the city, there's a great lookout point where you can pull in and park and get some great photos. Suppose you could walk across the bridge and get to the same point, as well.
It's been so long since I've been a tourist in SF, that I've forgotten all the cool things to do (I think I was 6 or 7 years old at the time). Guess it's time to go back and do all the touristy things again.

Heidi--I'll see if I can find your boss. I'm going to try to go to the city tomorrow (Sunday), but don't have my own car, so it's a little tough.
I did NOT feel the earthquake (4.2), but the lights did go out for a bit. I didn't know what it was until this morning!
