That's what I was singing this morning on my way to work. Lately, I've been driving to work just as the sun is rising, and as I'm going east, it's a beautiful view all the way from my house to the school. The school parking lot is usually aflame by the time I arrive on mornings when it's a "good" sunrise.
Today was not one of those sunrises. Instead, it was more subtle, more pinks and blues than oranges and reds. Put against a foreground of snow covered branches, though, and it was almost magical. I was shoveling the front steps when the most beautiful moment occurred, and I did not capture it as a result, but the sun all of a sudden kissed the tree tops with a pinkish yellow. Took my breath away!
A few hours later, the sun burst forth through the trees and this time, I grabbed my camera for a shot that, for all it's prettiness, doesn't begin to capture what was really out there. Still, it had me singing "Oh, what a beautiful morning!"
(The sunset was just as pretty...)

A song that I grew up hearing my mother sing. Sometimes it was REALLY early in the morning and I didn't want to hear it, but years later --- on a beautiful morning like you described --- I sing it. And yes, I sang it to my own children as they were growing up. Your morning scene is beautiful! Thank you for sharing it with us!

Amazing mornings are needed like this from time to time! Stunning photos!
We've been amazed that the snow has stayed on the trees so long. Around here, that doesn't happen often. Certainly not for three days in a row. Today, it was just as pretty, although by evening quite a lot had melted. On the other hand, it's 14 degrees right now, so we may well have ice instead of snow on the trees tomorrow. And more snow on its way. You're right, Monarch, mornings like this are needed =)
